Mission & Vision

The vision of the ERA Chair FOODOMICS is to create a research centre at the University of Ljubljana (UL) in the field of Metabolomics in Food and Nutrition.

The project will be implemented within the framework of the ERA Chair action in order to simultaneously realize the research potential of the UL and create a dynamic and sustainable state-of-the-art research environment.

AGRA SRIP HRANA 2025: Presenting ERA Chair Foodomics

Prof. dr. Vrhovšek presented the ERA Chair Foodomics project and the vision for establishing a Centre for Metabolomics in Food and Nutrition, at the Biotechnical faculty, University of Ljubljana, which will become a key hub for research in food, health, and nutrition metabolomics.

Prominent experts will present the areas of modern technologies of food production, processing, preservation, packaging and storage, with an emphasis on sustainable food systems. This year marks 50 years since the event first took place.
