ERA Chair Foodomics is offering 3 exciting positions for highly motivated young researchers to join a multidisciplinary and international research team led by Prof. Dr. Urška Vrhovšek. This is a unique opportunity for candidates to contribute to cutting-edge research while collaborating with leading experts across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidates will be involved in high-throughput data collection and analysis to support the elucidation of processes aimed at improving the quality, technological, and nutritional value of agri-food products using metabolomics approaches. The main duties include:

Metadata acquisition and curation of collected data
-
Data acquisition, storage, and management for metabolomic analysis
-
Performing quality control on produced data
-
Statistical analysis and interpretation of metabolomic data
-
Preparing regular written reports based on analysis results
-
Contributing to scientific publications and assisting in the preparation of manuscripts
-
Collaborating with project teams at different stages of research and development
-
Performing other duties as assigned by the employer
Specific Requirements:
The program is open to candidates with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following fields:

Biochemistry
-
Analytical Chemistry
-
Food Science
-
Bioinformatics
-
Related disciplines
Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in collaborative research. Additionally, candidates must not have previously been employed at the University of Ljubljana.
Languages:

English: Excellent proficiency required
Additional Skills:

Strong interest in metabolomics and agri-food research

Experience in data analysis and statistical interpretation is desirable
