SUMMARY:Summer School: Metabolic Response of Horticultural Plants to Stress Factors
DESCRIPTION:14–20 June 2026 | University of Ljubljana\, Biotechnical Faculty \nWe invite you to join the 1. Summer School “Metabolic Response of Horticultural Plants to Stress Factors\,” designed for PhD students and early-stage researchers working in the fields of horticulture\, agronomy\, biology\, biotechnology\, food science\, and related life sciences. \nThe program offers 3 ECTS credits and provides intensive training in plant metabolomics\, with a focus on the physiological responses of plants to environmental stress factors and crop quality. \nOrganized within the ERA Chair Foodomics project\, the summer school brings together experts in horticulture\, plant physiology\, metabolomics\, analytical chemistry\, and data interpretation. \nThe program includes:\n\n\nHands-on training in plant metabolomics \n\n\nFamiliarization with advanced analytical techniques (HPLC\, LC-HRMS\, GC-MS) \n\n\nInvestigation of the effects of salinity on basil and drought stress on blueberries \n\n\nThe preparation and interpretation of complex metabolomic data \n\n\nEarning 3 ECTS credits \n\n\nOpportunities for international networking and collaboration with researchers and fellow PhD students \n\n\n  \nApplications are now closed. \nSelected candidates will be contacted for further information\, while the rest will be placed on a waiting list. \n  \nThe summer school is free of charge (including lunch)\, as it is funded by the ERA Chair Foodomics project. \nContact person for any inquiries: jerneja.jakopic@bf.uni-lj.si
